Personality:
Fetch is very much a product of the trials in her life. According to drug-fueled flashbacks, she’s always had problems with anger - to the point of hurting other kids her age when it became too much for her to handle. It’s never made clear how long she and her brother were homeless, running from place to place, but living on the streets did her no favors in managing that anger. It became a way to help her handle things.

After some time living on the streets, Abigail and her brother turned to drugs to cope with being homeless and both quickly became addicted, turning to lives of both petty and serious crimes just to get their next fix. Abigail’s brother, Brent, eventually managed to quit and wanted her to as well but she was, as Abigail described, “in too deep” to stop. Thinking that if they just got away from their lives in Seattle - Brent tried helping her any way he could, taking more and more dangerous but well-paying jobs to save up enough money to buy a boat and escape the D.U.P’s jurisdiction in the United States and keep his sister safe. Eventually, he came home from a job missing some teeth and it was seeing her brother hurt because of her that motivated her to quit cold turkey.

Abigail has a deep bond with her brother, born out of the fact that he has kept her safe ever since the D.U.P threatened to take her in. He’s been everything to her: her protector, her best friend, her brother. Brent matters the most in Abigail’s point of view and it’s because of his influence that she managed to stop taking drugs, and keep her powers on a leash. As we see in First Light, when Brent isn’t around she is willing to go to extremes in the use of her abilities to make sure he’s safe - even doing things he would greatly disapprove of. As her moral compass, Brent is Abigail’s biggest weak spot and vice versa. Something that is exploited easily through her time as Shane’s attack dog.

Abigail is a very loyal, and possessive person, who is terrified of losing people to the point where she will avoid forming attachments to people if it means losing them later. Delsin has to work at gaining her trust and her affection - which he does, only through showing her that they have a common enemy in the drug industry of Washington, and in Augustine. In the case of her brother Brent, Abigail nearly loses her mind with guilt when he dies at her hand and becomes completely unresponsive, making her the easiest Conduit catch the D.U.P ever made despite being so powerful. She spends two whole years in a fugue state while in custody, and just when she begins to come out of it - Augustine forces her to relive the events leading up to her breakdown, in order to make her want to kill Shane again.

Shane is very perceptive when he takes Abigail under his wing to help her find her brother, commenting on the smile on her face when she’s attacking the men who belong to the gang that took him and the way she enjoys taking them out with her powers. He’s not wrong either, Abigail - long before her ultimate breakdown before she gets taken in by the D.U.P - shows incredibly violent tendencies and often laugh and giggles when she’s eliminating the men Shane tells her too. That giddiness isn’t as present as it used to be, after her time in Curdan Cay, but it is directed towards making her a ruthless sniper along with her anger and guilt.

Abigail does, in the end, murder Shane, though when she finally gets ahold of him she seems to have a mental snap and declares to Brent that she’s “gonna make things right”, despite still being in D.U.P custody and not yet swallowed the Kool Aide. When she escapes Curdan Cay, Abigail goes on a killing spree - taking out every drug dealer she can find and constructing elaborate shrines around the bodies of her victims all centering around her remorse for Brent’s death. Depending on the player’s choices in inFAMOUS: Second Son, Delsin can either influence Abigail to take her vengeful warpath and direct it to people who hate Conduits, accepting her violent nature and killing the people who protest her actions. Or, Delsin can help her stop killing and redeem her - still allowing her to take out drug dealers and their sources, but keeping it non-lethal.

Because of almost being taken in by the D.U.P thanks to her parents when she was around an estimated 12-13 years old, Abigail has a deep seated distrust of authority figures. This makes it difficult for Augustine to gain her trust inside Curdan Cay, even impossible as Abigail continuously hides the true capabilities of her powers and how they’d advanced throughout the events of First Light, to Augustine’s growing frustration. Brent’s boss - Shane - also contributes to this distrust of both older people and authority figures. Abigail holds Shane largely responsible for Brent’s death, as he injected her with a dose of heroin just as she busted into his place to take back her brother.

Abigail is, at the base, a very anxious young woman. It’s unknown exactly how long she’s been dealing with an anxiety disorder but it’s clear from her many panic attacks throughout the course of First Light that she does suffer from one. When things become overwhelming or she feels unsafe, she begins to lose control of her powers and has to focus on a good memory to work through it. Eventually, that became difficult in and of itself - as good memories were becoming harder and harder to come by.

She also, whether as a result of drug-use to cope, or simple personality - has a problem with addiction. While she is a recovered drug addict, Abigail has used other things to replace her desire for heroin - food being one of them, as seen by her ‘lair’ in inFAMOUS: Second Son where she has a serious collection of clam chowder cups from a specific restaurant. She also uses adrenaline as a replacement for the rush she misses, often enjoying doing reckless and dangerous things because of it. In the “Evil” route, Abigail talks about having too much energy after killing a protest organizer and hooks up with Delsin in an almost feverish, jittery fit of energy.

Fetch is the definition of a hot mess. Think the lovechild of Courtney Love and Brody Dalle. She and her brother were discovered doing covers of other popular rock bands at the time, living off the meager earnings from their gigs often meant they would be homeless and living out of a van or under a bridge.
An agent from her current label found them both in a seedy club and propelled them into stardom and allowed them to make their own original content.

To cope with the sudden fame, Brent and Fetch turned to drugs for comfort. Specifically heroin. After a few short years of touring, their manager wanted to spice things up - as their popularity was starting to dwindle. They instructed Fetch to break up the act because it would mean more money if they both went on to join new groups. So she did.
Unfortunately, Brent wasn’t aware of this plan and after she broke up the duo act she had with her brother, Brent, for a more glamorous career; he died from an overdose outside a club. At least that’s the story.

Fetch feels incredibly responsible for her brother’s death and is off and on recovering from her addiction. She loves her fans but hates the media that covers her bandmates and herself. Fetch tries not to be too much of a diva, since she knows how lucky she is to be doing this - but her volatile personality often leads to fights with paparazzi and the more aggressive interviewers.

Ideal CR: Interpersonal conflict, familial, sexual, romantic, people to support her drug habit, people to encourage her to quit. Honestly, I’ll take anything!
